VoiceBox can help retailers reach an additional 27% of customers

Our new analysis has identified the average proportion of UK motor retailers’ aftersales records that have missing or inaccurate data. We evaluated over 298,000 records across a sample of 500 retailers during the first quarter of 2026 and found that 6.4% had a missing or overdue MOT date, while 15% had a missing or overdue service date.
While the analysis points to a broadly positive picture overall – 73% of records have full and accurate data – more than a quarter of aftersales records would need to be updated before a tailored message could be sent to prompt a workshop booking.
Steady improvement in capture rates for essential contact information
Our analysis found that a very high proportion of aftersales records typically now contain essential contact information, with 91.6% having an email address and 93.4% including a mobile phone number. There has been a steady improvement in how effective retailers are in capturing such data. When Marketing Delivery, now part of TekCor4, conducted the same mass data audit in 2020, 79% of records included an email address, while 89% included a mobile phone number.
Tools can now predict service and MOT dates and fill data gaps
Our VoiceBox Aftersales solution can be used by retailers to identify missing MOT dates and then fill the gaps automatically using accurate information from the DVSA, rather than having to rely on manual updates. In parallel, VoiceBox Aftersales can accurately predict missing service due dates through analysis of previous aftersales invoices, coupled with data from the relevant manufacturer.
